My First Post

So this is my inaugural post on amber christine photography.  In fact, this is my first blog ever.  I’m a little nervous that I won’t have anything interesting to say.  It’s a good thing most of this blog will be dedicated to the posting of my amateur photographs as I attempt to improve my picture-taking skills rather than my futile attempts to be witty.  I made very concrete resolutions this year.  The first being a new dedication to photography.  I hope that this will be a better use of my time than the Real Housewives of Orange County or Jersey Shore…or maybe not.

Most of the photos are of my nieces and nephews.  I find it much easier to photograph children.  They aren’t self conscious and smile easily.  Plus, I just can’t get enough of them.  I hope to branch out and start taking pictures of adults.  My sister, somewhat reluctantly, agreed to allow me to take photos of her and her husband.  She’s expecting her second child and they have a soon-to-be two year old daughter.  This scares me to death, but my sister is amazingly photogenic.  I figure I can’t screw up too badly.


Ok. without further adieu…here are some of my photographs so far.

Lily. Last year at Thanksgiving right after I got my new camera.  I’m losing some of the quality with uploading, so the colors are not appearing as bright here as I would like.
